The 20-hectare terroir is located a few kilometres from the sea in a sunny position facing south and protected by the hills to the north. A cool sea breeze blows in summer. This varied terroir is
characterised by a sandy-clayey matrix, i.e. fine sands and orange-red silty sands (Val di Gori sands) with limestone origins and manganese nodules.
