The 50-hectare terroir lies just 6 km from the sea in a sunny, well-ventilated north-west exposure. Part of the Bolgheri conglomerate, the vineyard rests on calcareous soil with ophiolitic rocks (a series of basic and ultrabasic formations, partially massive).
